COWL® spiral silencer

Exhaust silencers in small dimensions is the main feature of this high capacity industrial silencer for engine output ranging from 8 to 850 kW. The principle of noise reduction is based on the lineal diffusion of the sound waves, which break on the spiral inner wall and are further absorbed perambulating the spiral.

Two different basic versions offer attenuation of about 27 and 32 dB(A) respectively. The compact design requires only 1/3 of the overall size of ordinary silencers with the same attenuation. The aluminium coated steel plate is corrosion- and temperature resistant up to 650°C.

Special designs, even in stainless steel, complement the program of 8 standard designs, with two models especially developed for V-engines with integrated Y-pipe.

Disc compact silencer

The disc silencer of the series DCK-2 and DHK with its flat, disc design stands out by its high attenuation of up to 45 dB(A). The insulation inside reduces the surface temperature down to about 135° C. The silencer features outstanding attenuation characteristics due to its balanced combination of reflexion and absorption chambers. Special designs with double inlets as well as custom-built versions are possible. Standard designs are available in DN 100 - DN 450. Special designs upon request.
